petit pouce es-tu là?

Bonjour les amis!petit pouce es-tu là

This is our first video of 2014, and to start the year off we have brought you a very sweet and simple French nursery rhyme called petit pouce es-tu là?

We think you are going to like this little rhyme; not only is it very short and simple, but it has hand actions to go with it, making it entertaining for toddlers and older children to have a go at joining in too.

I always think it is very cute when I do this rhyme in class; usually the youngest toddlers have trouble showing their thumbs and so they stick up their index fingers proudly instead! Also the phrase petit pouce is lovely to repeat over and over, children seem to find it funny and very memorable.

Take a look at our video of the rhyme, but Tonton has his own style of asking petit pouce es-tu là?

Try saying the rhyme at home with your kids! Here are the words:

Toc-Toc,
petit pouce es-tu là?
Chut, je dors

Toc-Toc,
petit pouce es-tu là?
Chut, je dors toujours

Toc-Toc,
petit pouce es-tu là?
Je sors.
